Boat Public Liability Insurance
In order to race at GLYC you must have valid public liabillty cover of $10M to protect other persons and property, and provide the information and complete the declarations below.
Please read and tick those that apply to you.
Each member should ensure directly with their insurer that they have the appropriate level of cover, please refer to the Sailing Captain or the Secretary if unsure.
I agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing and by all other rules that govern this event.
I acknowledge that competitors participate in races of this series entirely at their own risk (see rule 4 ‘Decision to Race’).
I accept that:
- it is solely my responsibility for deciding whether or not to start or to continue racing; and
- no responsibility will be accepted by Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club Inc sponsors, race officials or volunteers, or staff conducting the races or any person connected with the races for any loss or damage to personal property or for personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the races.
If any member of the crew is under 18 years of age at 1st October then the following consent form (one for each) must be completed and included with the entry form or provided to the Race Officer prior to the first race in which they compete.
consent to his/her participation in any event at GLYC under the terms and conditions set out in the notice of race, training manual, etc. and do likewise agree to indemnify Gippsland Lakes Yacht Club Inc, their officials or members as prescribed in those documents.
Safety Compliance Declaration
Before this form can be accepted for racing you must select your safety category and then complete the relevant safety checklist form. If you are uncertain of the relevant safety category please discuss with the Sailing Captain or the Rear Commodore.
